But one thing that we have rarely seen Bruce Wayne in styling terms is a beard. He is almost always clean-shaven.

2. The Return of Bruce Wayne Storyline

At the end of the Final Crisis we Batman transported back in time after being hit by Darkseid’s omega beams. He jumps over several time periods. And has a beard in nearly all of his appearances in different timelines.

We can also see Batman with a full-grown beard on the Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne issue no 3 title cover. In this cover, Batman has a full pirate-like beard while he is assisting Blackbeard in this storyline.

3. Batman: Superheavy

This is 2015 that follows the events after Batman: Endgame where Batman and Joker both are apparently dead in the end. In Batman: Superheavy storyline it is revealed that Gordon has taken on the mantle of the Bat.

It is also revealed that Bruce Wayne is alive thanks to the pool of Dionesium where he apparently died. But while the Dionesium did save Bruce’s life it also made all his memories of the past fade away. And as a result, we see Bruce living happily with his girlfriend and has a properly grown but trimmed beard in this story.

This comic book storyline is based on the game of the same name where Joker manipulates Superman into murdering Lois Lane and their unborn child. After which Superman kills Joker and takes over the world. This leads to a civil war among the superheroes of earth. With most of them joining Superman while others joining Batman and his resistance against Superman’s tyranny.

In the year four issue of the Injustice storyline we see Bruce Wayne spend most of his time out of the costume cut off from the allies and has a full grown beard at the time.

2. Snyderverse
