Superman is the most powerful superhero of the DC Universe. And has even inspired the conception of nearly every other superhero in some way or other.

The DC Universe is a world based on reality with Superman being an alien that was sent to Earth by his father. His father sent him to Earth to save him from the destruction of their home planet Krypton. Different villains both from Earth and outer space try to take control of Earth. And are prevented by Superman and Justice League in this world.
History
Superman is an alien who got his superpowers after absorbing the energy of Earth’s yellow sun. His adoptive parents named him Clark Kent and raised him with high moral values. This upbringing made Clark a good man that only uses his superpowers for the protection of the World and not for his personal gain.
Although Superman is not from this Earth but he has accepted this planet as his home and goes to any length to protect it from any dangers. Superman has fought various villains but he has a strict no killing policy as opposed to the Japanese Manga stories. So he always restraints himself and never uses his powers to full extent.
Abilities
Superman has super-strength, super-speed, ability to fly, heat vision, cold breath to name a few. But the true extent of his powers is unknown. One version of Superman called the All Star Superman created his own universe. Such is the extent of his power. And this Superman goes on to live in the sun to make repairs and prevent the Sun from getting destroyed.
When he eventually leaves the Sun he becomes a golden-colored version of the All-Star Superman which even has more powers than before.
Saitama vs Superman
The obvious winner of this face-off is superman because even though Saitama is the most powerful character in his universe, Superman is the big daddy of strength everywhere. Superman can slice his head off with his heat vision or even punch him to death with one punch, settling the one punch man debate for good. And the All Star Superman can even obliterate Saitama in even less time.
