Joker Car: A Brief History of The Jokermobile

Joker Car

Joker is probably one of the best villains to exist in comic book history. Joker is most notably known for making explosive devices and razor-sharp Joker playing cards. His signature weapon is the Joker toxin. He delivers this toxin in the form of a gas and is extremely lethal. His arsenal is full of weapons that have the ability to destroy cities and kill millions. But this arsenal of The Joker lacks a decent car fit for a super-villain.

The Joker toxin is so lethal that anybody who is exposed to this toxin experiences spasms of uncontrollable laughter and dies within minutes of exposure. Anybody who dies after being exposed to the Joker Toxin has a grotesque grinning expression called “Risus Sardonicus” due to spasms of the facial muscles. Making them look like The Joker.

History of Joker Car

This car is also known as Jokermobile. This car was featured in the comic-book stories briefly. The reason behind the introduction of this car is the use of superior tactical gadgets and Batmobile by Batman.

Joker was inspired by Batman’s use of Batmobile and built a car for himself. This car is based on Joker’s theme. Joker integrated his car with such functionalities that even the Batmobile of the time did not possess.

One of these functions includes the ability to create a path of planks to pass through chasms and large potholes. In addition to this feature, the Jokermobile was equipped with machine guns in the rear and front. This car was also made bulletproof to protect it from bullets and other attacks.

This car was put out of use after the Joker got caught by Batman. Joker is seen driving this car once again in Metropolis. He used it to commit crimes in the city while he allied with Lex Luthor.

There was also a brief period during which The Joker was seen in a purple-colored car driving around Gotham City. But Joker did not use this car in any kind of criminal activity.
