Upbringing

When Kal-El arrived on Earth, his ship’s crash was intercepted by Jonathan and Martha Kent. And when they discovered a baby inside the ship, they adopted this baby. So they brought up their son with the best values our planet has to offer. And it is because of Jonathan and Martha’s upbringing that Superman has very high morals. And he has never even thought of using his abilities and powers for his own personal gain.

Superpowers

Superman has many superpowers namely heat vision, cold breath, ability to fly, super strength, super speed, ability to breathe in outer space, and even immortality to name a few.

The earlier iteration of Superman that appeared in the Golden and Silver age of Comics was even more powerful than the iteration we now see. That version even had the ability to reverse time at will. And was even able to produce an Earthquake by tapping his feet on the surface of the Earth.

A future iteration of Clark Kent called Superman Prime is so powerful that he is named The Golden God because of the humongous and colossal strength and abilities that he possesses.

Upbringing

Homelander spent most of his childhood and youth trapped inside a lab. And in this captivity, he was treated as a lab rat. And was the subject of extreme experiments that had disturbed him mentally and turned him into a psychopath. Therefore he has no morals and pretty much does whatever he wants to do.

Homelander’s lack of morals and sense of entitlement has led him to exhibit extreme megalomania, causing him to commit crimes against innocent people, including mass murder, out of the idea that he can do anything he wants because of who he is. And he even likes to bully people into submission.

Superpowers

He possesses heat vision, durability, flight, and super strength. But his heat vision is not controlled like Superman. And only blasts a beam of a fixed temperature as compared to a variable temperature beam of Superman.

Sadly none of the enemies that Homelander has faced in his lifetime are even worthy of mentioning in this article. Because he mostly uses his superpowers to bully people and even murder anyone who voices their opinion against him.

His career as a crime-fighter actually consists of committing more crimes than preventing them. Any other superheroes that exist in Homelander’s universe are very weak so Homelander has always been able to intimidate them quite easily.
